chpt 1I woke to a blinding light burning into the back of my eye lids. I blinked, cursed, and rolled over to try to get more sleep. I would have accomplished that if I hadn’t fallen on the ground the moment I rolled over. I groan and sit up on the carpeted floor. I noticed I was on the couch of our loft and it was also five-thirty in the morning. I groan again and get up to take a shower. Might as well go to school today nothing better to do. I walk into ammys room after my shower and roll ammy off her bed. She falls to the floor and curses at me. “Shit chiyo why’d you do that!” she said in a sleepy, annoyed voice. &chpt 1
chapter 1 I’m running through a gray door lined corridor. All the doors I go to are locked. I slow to a walk when I come to a blood red door at the end of the corridor. My instinct tells me to run but my body keeps moving forward. I turn the shiny brass knob, when the door opens I find myself on the hardwood floor of my bedroom. “Rayne, get ready for school!” I hear my mom yell in an irritated voice. I sit there for a few more moments then start to clean the mess of sheets I made. When I finally finish I notice something glowing out of the corner of my eye. I look over to see my onyx, flamed shaped necklace glowing an echapter 1
